I can see where your concern lies, but in that small of a points game, do you really think you are going to see that many Missle/plasma heavy armies. I know around here you won't, but I am not sure about your area.
The only force around here, besides mine of corse  , would be a nurgle army with lots of melta/plasma shooting goodness.

and yes, deathguard do worry me as the combination of T5 + feel no pain is plain silly!
thousand sons are also a huuuuuge! concern due to all those ap3 bolters + S5 doombolts they can throw about...
luckily by the time my friend gets her army up and scuttling, 5th edition will have landed and thus the ass-can goofiness will have lessened quite a bit...
