I sometimes play with unpained minis, especially if I am testing a new unit in my force. I will play it a couple of times bare or primed, and then I'll paint it if I decide to keep it on the roster. Otherwise, it goes on the trading block, where paint will most often bring the price down, as opposed to bare metal/plastic or primed models.
As for playing my whole army bare nekkid plastic and lead...not very likely. I don't like being laughed at. Base-coating is better than nothing. |
