Ratlings are by far and away the better choice. You can take them in a unit of up to 10, they get a +1 cover save and you can have them go to ground instead of routing. The only way to get the other snipers is in a special weapon squad ( only 3 troopers can have sniper rifles) or the light infantry doctrine ( only 1 trooper can have one). Ratlings are cheaper per rifle than the other options. |
