They were terminators (obvious if you examine thei rbodies) that specialized as heavy weapons, or even just terminators (as at the time of the Heresy a terminator almost 99% = heavy weapons), and eventually thier weapons fused to their body, and they grafted more on.OR thats what I remember of them.
