in terms of pred vs long fangs, i'd also go for long fangs: more wounds=more heavy weapons that don't die off...this is the logic behind my all infantry model marine army as well. i think a dread as an HQ would be interesting, but that's up to you...and if you have bikes and only have like 1 or 2, yea sell them off :]
