one other thing, unless you like the smell of glue, make sure you drill and pin the replacement parts. Otherwise, they will be constantly coming off. Another thing you can try, Carefully cut off the Plasma Pistol with a razor or jewelers saw, drill the hand and the Bolt Pistol with a 1/16 drill bit and install a pair of rare earth magnets. Do the same thing with the Plasma pistol and you will be able to take either weapon as your game requirements change. There is a company called K&J magnetics that sells several different sizes of Noedymiun Magnets at reasonalble prices. If you have a fellow hobbyist to share the cost, they can b e quite cheap, especially in the smaller sizes. Just remember that you have to match the polarity of the magnets, so that you have a north-south combination. Likes repell, and you want to be sure that you have them glued in properly.
My Space Marine Commander and Chaplain both have this treatment so that my commander has his choice of storm bolter, plama pistol, combi-melta, combi-plasma, combi-flamer, and Bolt pistol. The Chaplain only has a bolt pistol or plasma pistol. |
