If you are not an army of grey knights, and you plan on fighting Eldar, Take the Lord with a psychic hood. That Seer council on bikes is a lot more vulnerable if you can keep fortune from going off.
Last fall I saw a canny IG player skin an Eldar players pointy little ears that way. When the Fortune roll failed, he dumped everything but the kitchen sink on them, and by the time he was through, there was only one warlock left. (The Warlock failed an armor save to a str 6 multi las hit, while his comrade made his). The 100 odd points he had spent on his lord were well worth the price of admission when they allowed him to kill something like 600 points of pointy-eared space elves. |
