Armored fists and Storm troopers count as seperate choices from infantry platoons.... that is why when you start an imperial guard army most people go with 1 infantry platoon and one armored fist squad... cheap and effective... i personally didn't but it is your preference. infantry platoons are a good way to get a lot of guys... i did the calculations and with no points into upgrades you can fill your troops with infantry platoons for 1500 points... that is 300 guardsmen!!
so your list needs at least 1 infantry platoon consisting of 1 command squad and 2 infantry squads and 1 armored fist squad (or Storm trooper squad if you take the doctrine) that is one reason that armored fists are not restricted... that is how guard are organized... you must have an infantry platoon to deploy one because they put the armored fist squad under the command of one of the command squads of an infantry platoon they are effectively part of it but deployed seperatly to represent their independence on the field kasarkin on the other hand are elite special forces so do not need command other then from the army commander!
Good luck and have fun!
