A Sgt. is EXACTLY like a normal space marine, except that he can get a BP and CCW for free.
Also, unless stated otherwise, only a Sgt. can get Terminator Honors, and only the sgt. can every have access to the armory (except for the special dudes in the command squad).
UM get no traits... which is silly, because, when making my army lists, I pick my traits, make the list, and THEN select drawbacks that don't/least affect me
