"What do you have to say for yourself mercenary?!" spat a furious Cyin as the newly promoted Erendul strode to the shuttle with the remainder of his men.
Pulling out the Aquila given to him by Erendul, Mikail held it out to the Inquisitor
"My lord, the Lieu...Captain gave me this assuming it was mine, the only difficulty being that I dont own one"
Confused the Inquisitor took the Imperial Eagle from the Altonian's hand and began studying it "And? Of what importance is that?" Cyin responded, his anger draining away to be replaced by interest.
"Well sir, I think that the man I was following dropped it. And you dont just drop something so obvious after carefully masking your trail for over an hour, I can only presume he knew he was being followed and left it to be found ensuring I'd discover those men"
"A valid point, we will discuss this at a later date, for now get on the damn shuttle and see if you can prevent yourself from causing a riot between here and our destination" said Cyin, a hint of amusement in his voice.
With a sheepish grin and a hasty salute, Mikail jogged over to join those already on the Thunderhawk as the Inquisitor slipped the silver Aquila beneath his robes... |
