yeah magnus's tale really is the most tragic. though the way the fluff seems to be (to me at least) is, mortarion seemed ok to leave well enough alone, with regards the emperor. it likely they 9 traitor chapters would ahve turned with/without horus, though i think death guard (alongside thousand sons and word bearers who kind of went in the deep end when the emperor told them to stop worshiping him) would have remained loyal... at least longer than the others! |
