well, you really should get at least one unit of dire avengers... they're an excellent shooty unit that with the exarch powers become even better at what they do! (bladestorm is pure nastiness!)
having a unit of guardians to support them is escential though as the avengers will be vulnerable after lossing off a bladestorm. also don't forget about the option for storm guardians. (assault guardians) they can take either a pair of flamers for really thinning out numbers, or else a pair of fusion guns for slaging an enemy tank that gets too close for comfort...
as for the autarch. equip him to make-up for any area you're lacking in. (ie: giving him a fusion gun & swooping hawk wings makes him a cheap, yet formidable tank-hunter!)
