Well, I have looked at the Black Templars codex, and helped my friend build a decent 1000pt and 1500pt army with it, and I'll say this. Black Templars (BT) are the most 2 demisional army I have ever seen (and I've seen enough to know that they are one of the few). More or less, because of the Vow system and righteous zeal, they are forced to ONLY assault. Sure, maybe 1 or 2 support squads or a pred or something, but other than that... nope, its all about the assault.
From what Wolf Pack and Lord Erik Grimnar is saying, wolves are more balanced.
With this in mind (and because they rock) I'd go for the wolves.
