its all chapter dependant but if you are just using their codex
you make your own thing
i dont paint faces very well so all my marines have helms even my sgts/wolfguard leaders
but they have bannerpoles and their armor is silver
my regular marines wear tin/bronze armor
and my top ranks wear golden armor
so do your own thing unless you are making an existing chapter then i would do a little research and find out what they use
