most people start out with 2 battleforces, because they usually contain the standard troops almost all armies of that race are going to contain. thats a very good start for tau, and in addition to the 2 battleforces i think you should get the codex (duh) and a hammerhead box. that box has parts for 3 different tanks that are very useful in different situations.
fire warriors are the staple of any good tau force. they are, IMHO, the best ranged infantry in the game. period. a firing line of them is awesome. so starting up with tau, 2 battleforces is your best bet IMO. |
