Now I know the Daemon Prince can probably take down vehicles pretty decently, but what else do you use to take down armour? Daemonettes can do stuff, too, but they're not as effective.
I might try removing the Chosen (as they're a bit overpriced anyway) and go for a Havoc squad with either missile launchers or lascannons. Missile launchers would probably be better just because you can use the frag missiles if you're dealing with more of a horde. |
The units that can take down armor are the Daemonettes, Daemonettes on Steeds, the Daemon Prince, the Chosen with the Meltagun and powerfist Champ, the Lt and his meltabombs, his retinue has 2 plasma guns. Five units that are capacble of taking out a Land Raider. Not too shabby. Pity me if a Monolith comes trundling along. I'd have to kill Warriors instead.
Oh, and I posted this list because I've won a couple of tourneys with it. As the sticky at the top of this thread of the forum requested. I just forgot to mention it.
When I set up at a tourney, I layout the terrain so as to take best advantage of it. If I play an assault army, like my Word Bearers, things go in the middle of the table to cut down on field of fire. If I play a shooty army, I tend to place terrain more out of the way......
