Well again...it's NOT the paint or the rough coat that is eating the foam...try Brushing an oil based paint on poly some times...it doesn't melt it...HOWEVER most sprays use PROPELANTS that will eat the foam...there are a few out there that are styrene friendly so it's just a matter of finding them and getting stuck in...
