for an undivided or nurgle lord, i wouldn't bother with a daemonic mount as they can't really stand upto the added missile fire they'll take. (keep in mind you must randomise all shooting hits and the mount can be targeted in close combat...)
khorne, slaanesh & tzeentch lords get a decent upgrade in their respecive mounts;
- the juggernauht is tougher than the average daemonic mount due it's 4+ armour save on top of it's daemonic ward save, so it's a bit hardier.
- steeds of slaanesh are insanely fast! a 1st turn charge is possible with them, though it's likely fairly suicidal...
- discs of tzeentch fly so your chapion can zap pretty much anyone he fancies.
otherwise, i'd stick to just a basic barded chaos steed or else if you like a real pts sink, go for the chaos dragon!!!
