And here's why. At most steve can see 12" Baron 6" . Steve has 1 turn to make it all count. 1 turn... I'm sorry, however many flashlights you carry into the woods tonight, the blod god will prevail.
After steve's maelstorm of las fire, and autocannons, rockets and melta, Baron will advance 6"... see you and let rip with flamers galore. Either dead at that point or baron advances into combat... (I'm hoping sensible enough not to wipe everyone out in the first round of combat).
After this point steve may get some more chances of firing... bt it will be diminished enough to make little difference at this point.
Sorry steve... would prefer imperial to win, but I think you don't have time to make all the weapons count before he's on you.
