5. How long have you been a member here at 40k Terra?
since shortly after its creation just before the closure of the GW Forum, i'm member 157, so I've been around a long time, even if there have been long periods of absence.
6. How long have you been involved in the hobby in general (40k collecting preferred, but feel free to mention years spent in WHFB too.)?
I have been involved in the hobby for 8 years now, with varying levels of activity, but have always kept tabs on everything that happens in all systems, primarily those in the 40K Universe (mostly helped by White Dwarf subscriptions). 40K has always been the system i've based myself in. Although I do have the Mines Of Moria set and have played a couple games of LotR. Also I am a regular Inquisitor player.
7. What armies do you own/have owned and played?
The ubiquitous Space marines from when I first started, though never with any real determination.
Imperial Guard since the most recent Codex came out just after the Eye Of Terror campaign, incomplete army list of 1,500points that has only ever witnessed one battle.
Chaos Space Marines, just started these guys with the new codex, I have repainted my space marine collection and am expanding it with the newer chaos models, there is no definitive target for the army except for "big". Currently estimate at around 3,500 points total when all current purchases are complete.
Inquisitor Warband with eight members - with a second one with three members and a third of at least six members in the making (slowly).
8. What aspects of the hobby, modeling wise, do you feel yourself most skilled at?
I must shamefully admit to have no expertise in any particular area and would class myself as distinctly average.
9. Do you have any other unique skills you could bring to the forums? (This includes graphics, programming, web advertising, etc..)
I am currently a 2nd year student at University studying Multimedia Visualisation with Product Design, through this I have a good grounding in the following relevant software: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, 3DsMax, Adobe Première Pro.
I am also very good at proof-reading other peoples work and can often spot errors and glitches that most people miss.
10. What position(s) are you applying for, and why do you feel you deserve them. (If a MOD job, please state subforums you wish to cover, and a seperate reason for each subforum. If multiple jobs, please state reason why for each job).
Moderator:
Rumors & News Report - I like to keep a very beady eye on what's coming in the future and have also been a source of information in the past as well, such as my regular feed on what coming for Forgeworld (in truth its rarely little more than copying the Newsletter, but it still seems to be appriciated all the same). This section is also always the first place I look when I come to 40KTerra. Also, because I regularly browse lots of other gaming companies websites (i.e. Rackham, Reaper, etc, etc) I have a large field of knowledge when it comes to identifying certain things, i.e. what happened in
this thread.
Graphics & Art - As a University level design student myself, I would think I'd be quite suited to overlooking this generally quite section. Also, it currently has no Mod assigned.
Specialist Games - I know its an excruciatingly quite section at the moment, but never-the-less. I'm an avid Inquisitor player, as you may have noticed with
this post, and am well up to scratch on it all. When it comes to the other Specialist Games I am highly interested in but have never played Epic or BFG, Necromunda I have a passing basic knowledge of, Bloodbowl just isn't my kinda thing as far as I can tell and I've played a game or two or Mordheim many moons ago. All in all I do find all the Specialist games interesting, just some more than others!
Rolls such as Librarian would also be up my alley.
