you are correct on both counts. the weapon(s) no longer ignores invulnerable saves and since it has nothing to state to the contrary, Abbadon now has to test for mastery.
note however that if he takes a wound, although he cannot take an armour save, he (as can any lord with a daemon weapon) can take an invulnerable save against the wound |
