A Flash in the Dark was one of the first peices of fluff I wrote. It is also the first peices of fluff for the Storm Marines, my DIY Space Marines chapter. It is set in 955.M41, on a planet called Kalso. The planet declared independance in 954.M41. The Storm Marines agreed to assist, and deployed the Night Stalkers, a hundered man battle formation drawn from across the Chapter, who use the Chapter's classic guerrilla tactics. Also sent were the Cadian 167th, Elysian 108th, Cadian 48th, and the Kelnite 13th.

When the Imperial forces arrived, they found the planet in the grasp of Chaos.
