well, the chaos space marine army box for example 1st sold for $275(can) and that included the codex.
the new shipments, without the codex, now sell for $250(can) which is the average price of an army box.
the forthcoming high elf army box will also sell for only $250(can) as there's no army book included in the first batch this time...
each army box usually contains about 1000'ish pts for 40k or else 1250-1500pts for fantasy boxes, depending on which and how many upgrades and such you use.
