So here is my sample list for you heathens to pick apart.
160-Warsmith Titus the Uncaring, Scourge of the Imperium.
Sorcerer w/ Mark of Slaanesh, Steed of Slaanesh, meltabombs, force weapon, bolt pistol and Lash of Submission (psychic power) Loose the melta bombs on the sorc. No need. He's character hunting only. If you're worried about him getting stuck in with armor, switch the steed out for wings and have raptors w/ a power fist follow.
185-Noise Marines (6)
5 Sonic Blaster and 1 Blaster Master Still keeping to cult numbers!! GOOD MAN! I am liking you! I would however, loose the blastmaster. Heresy, I know, but it's just not worth the price. 40 pts is a lot. Throw in something that's a bit more flexible, or just have 6 sonic blasters.
185-Noise Marines (6)
5 Sonic Blaster and 1 Blaster Master Same as above. Do that and you've got 60 pts. Neice bit.
240-Noise Marines (8)
7 Sonic Blasters, Champion w/ Doom Siren, power weapon Down grade to Six (including champion). Keeps fluff, AND gives you more pts.
240-Noise Marines (8)
7 Sonic Blasters, Champion w/ Doom Siren, power weapon Same as above.
240-Raptors (8)
Icon of Slaanesh, 2 meltaguns. 5 Bolt pistol & ccw, Champion w/lightning
claws I'd say flamers would fit better givin the claws on the champion. Or one of each to make sure they're more multi purpose, as raptors are best at being.
145-Vindicator tank
Extra armor, combi-bolter
175-Predator tank
Turret Lascannon, sponson heavy bolters, havoc launcher, dozer blade,
Dirgecastor, extra armor Drop the havoc launcher. Not really worth the pts.
175-Predator tank
Turret Lascannon, sponson heavy bolters, havoc launcher, dozer blade,
Dirgecastor, extra armor Again, drop the havoc. Not worth the pts.
Tactics are very simple: the 3 tanks will take up one side of the board and flank the enemy. All the troops will move and shoot, advancing on the enemy and killing anything in the firing lanes. The raptors can deep strike and kill armor, or they can start on the board and go hunting (armor, special characters, etc.) Lastly we have the lord, who will not only look cool, but will also go hunting (special characters, annoying enemy squads, objective points, etc.)
I believe that this version of my Iron Warriors may work very well. My old army was very static, it did not move a lot and I tended to defended more than I wanted too. Will the addition of sonic blasters all my troops can move and shoot at their max range. Well tell me what you think. |
