Also remember that not all surfaces reflect the same amount of light. thin down your highlights just a little bit, and tone down your highlights some what. That will really give it a nice subtle glow.

good point, well made. i wasn't completely satisfied with the glow on the rest of the mini but i wanted to post it up anyway. what can i say, i crave attention . i'm still experimenting with this trick so i'll incorperate your suggestions in my next try. thanks dude
