batch paint them... it's the only way i stayed semi-sane when painting my own guard force! (mind you i was foolish enough to come up with a camo scheme that took about 2-3 hours/model!
)
but basically, put 10 - 20 guys in front of yourself;
a) paint all the cloth on each model
b) paint all the armour
c) paint all the pouches/grenades/boots
d) paint all the gunmetal
yes it's still tedious, but it's more staisfying when you finally do sit back and see that you've just fully finished 2 freakin' squads! (of corse, you likely groan loudly when you realise that you still have 8 more squads left to go!lol.)
