if you're short on long range firepower, then 3 russes would probably put you out of that predicament. in my opinion, any time you can take a russ and have it not be the only tank in your army, you should try and take it.
i believe the shorter ranged one is called a demolisher. though i could be wrong
the armor they have might be better than the vindy's, i can't be sure though.
