 Painting Tutorial: Gold trim
hey all,
this maybe something simple but it has had pretty good results for me.
with my 1000 sons i do ALOT of gold trim. however i initially ran into having to do bunch of coats of the gold to get a solid layer of it that didnt have the under color showing thru.
what i found helps best to do the first layer not with gold but with either beaten cooper or tin bitz (i use the apple barrel equivilents lately same effect). only a single layer of one of these when dry works great for giving gold all the more power. with the metalics from the cooper or tin bitz showing thru under the gold it just increases the gold effect.
