yea this sounded like a hoax. if this virus was real, then the internet service providers would send out a warning email of their own. they have the capacity to do that very easily and wouldnt rely on the 'tell your friends to tell their friends to tell ect. ect.' method.
another way you can tell: "LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC" is not specific at all. viruses attack specific things, be they files, programs, access information, whatever. thats just how they work. if they (whoever 'they' are) knew about the virus then they would also know what it goes after. they would say: 'This virus attacks and deletes files and programs, steals passwords and other access information, bla de bla bla bla.' |
