its best against isolated units like fast movers rolling up your flank
it works best with 2 squads in fish
i like squads of 12 and i use the drones from the fish to pin the targets.
if done right you can pin a squad and unload 24 shots into it
if they are unable to move the next turn and survived the first barrage you can unload another 48 into them
dont forget to mark them with the markerlights
its very deadly but requires good timing and measurements
if you are off
you can loose 2 squads and 2 fish very fast
