Default 501st Death Korps of Krieg WIP

Hey everyone thought I'd put up a project log here so you all can see what I'm working on, plus any comments and helpful criticisms are always nice to hear about my work.

Background:
I've been a huge fan of the Death Korps of Krieg ever since I fist picked up a copy of the Armageddon 3 Codex/supplement and the Imperial Guard codex. That little picture of the Death Korps on pg. 61 was all it took to inspire me to make a Death Korps army to attach to my Black Templar/Other Guard Crusade. Before FW I experimented with Steel Legion models and green stuff, and while that did build up my almost non-existent GS skills to meagre status, they just didnt come out quite right. So with the release of the FW Death Korps line I immediatly jumped on board and made mortal enemies with my cashflow.

Plan/Aim:
As I've always been a big fan of multiple uniforms within the same Army/Army group (ie German WW2) I've decided to make an Infantry/Armoured assault "regiment" with an attached Seige "Company" and Grenadiers/Mechanised as a third attached force. This might lead to the impression that im doing 3 armies rather than 1 cohesive force that you get from a uniform paint scheme but I only intend for a variety of color schemes rather than seperate armies. This is partialy b/c I like the idea of Integration within an army and that I couldnt make up my mind on which color scheme to use.

I'm theming the army on Imperial, WW1 and WW2 Germany, leaning more towards WW1 Imperial (Infantry,artillery... etc) while the obviously more WW2component will be themed as such (Armour, Grenadiers, tactics...etc). So overall I hope to acheive a blend of the best from all three eras of inspiration with of course the distinct Krieg look of 40k.

So with a bit of background and explanation now you know where I'm headed.

Any comments questions critcisms or anything is welcome as long as its good natured but I dont think I really have to mention that.
