" the following models in a locked unit are said to be engaged in combat and can fight at full effect;
-models in base to base contact with an enemy model
-models within 2" of a friendly model of the same unit, which is itself in base to base contact with an enemy model
all engaged models fight with their full number of attacks and count the benefits of any special close combat attack forms they might have..."
so anyone in b2b with the enemy, or anyone within 2" of a friendly model from the same unit who's in b2b get to fight at full effeciency at all times, counting charge bonus's if they charged. if they don't fall into either of these categories then they don't fight at all. after the assult phase is over any survivors must pile in. |
