Every animal on this planet, as we've seen and heard, have that whole "sixth sense" when it comes to danger. They're really not going to charge into close combat.
Plus, eventually we'd run out of them. Do you realize how large of a breeding/cloning facility they must have to create more and more of these easily expendable IG units? If it was something mechanical, then they could just retrieve it and repair it after a battle. |
In reality.. Cavalry was NEVER used in head on charges like you see.. EVER... Horses won't charge a straight line. Flat statement. Take it from someone who's sat on a real destrier, in full plate with lance, and tried to make one do so. They won't. Hence why 99% of the time, horses are used to hit holes in the lines and widen, or to hit flanks. They just won't charge a line, partly because of that 6th sense bit.
overall, I dunno.. Rough Riders seem a bit funny, I think of them more as socuts and ambushers. And I think the rules shoudl represent such.
