Only loyalist army I play is Black Templars. I have read the entry many times. While fluffwise, yes, you can take an Emperor's Champion, ruleswise, they did not include provisions to do so. I would say that means, in tournament it's not legal, however in games between you and another player, where house rules are allowed, I think it would be perfectly alright to use the Emperor's Champion, so long as you either gear your army to act like Black Templars (no psykers, optional CCW for troops, LRC instead of LR for HQ/Elite transport, etcetera and so forth) or remove the oaths... Perhaps allow for the oaths if he himself is one of your 2 HQ choices... |
