Haha... funny thing is I've bought about 1/2 of my FW stuff. I just have really nice relatives who happen to help me out so I'm not as rich as you think. I actually put most of my money into paintball.
And as far as scratch building goes I already have a scratch built trench but I really couldnt pass up the FW kit as it looks much, much, more fortified/permanent than the one I made. I'll put pics of both up for comparison.
And on a side not that'd be a cool title: "Forge World Lord of Terra"
