My First Battle was against Ultramarines, in an Urban setting. The board was 4’ by 6’ and we set up on opposing short ends.

My army:

I am not going to give a detailed list of his side, but I got stomped pretty bad. After the points were tallied he came up with a major victory.

I learned a lot though, especially to always check the rule book, he hoodwinked me a couple of times, but such is life. I am now moving away from any thoughts of taking more than one leman russ. I definitely need more infantry to bog down opposing units.

Some highlights were eliminating his Terminators with my HQ squad and destroying a chimera with my Vet SGT! Lowlights were losing my Demolisher to glancing hit on turn 2 and My Russ’ battle cannon on turn 2.

This is obviously not my Ideal list; I wanted to play so I opted to go to war with the Army I have and not the Army I wish I had!
