hmmm...I was going more for scaled up bolter as the chaos heavy bolter is a bit shorter than it's imperial counterpart, But sure, let's go with that... I might need to alter the barrel in that case.
As for the leg...yeah. it kinda just worked out like that. Each foot will have another layer of plasticard on the sole anyway, so I'll probably insert a rock in there somewhere.
Arms are now attached, I'm going to see if I can sculpt a sort of eagle armour type thing... Though I'll need surgical gloves for his cape...
For the moment, fallen SM captain is the goal. So...some spikes, hopefully a decent cape, scaled up commander type torso if I can manage the wings. I'll try to get a more accurate estimate of what it'll look like later on once the the GS has set.
