I found it it ingenius how abnett leaves a long gap in the story after the initial discovery of Pontius. I totally forgot about him......then BLAM! he comes back for more. And of course eventually gets a body.
Dan Abnett should be elevated to a 40k god. period.

I thought that the ravenor trilogy was just as good as the eisenhorn omnibus. Dan Abnett never ceases to amaze me with his excellent prose and character development.
I find it interesting how likeable and seemingly important some of the characters in Abnetts books are, just to have them blown away, evicerated, burned, possesed, or any combination of a grusome death. This just goes to show you how violent and unforgiving the 40k universe really is. It is by no means a "rated G" environment (which is good for me
