New Year Highlights

The end of the year is nigh and as we look forward to whatever festivities the holiday has in store, we thought it was an ample time to look forward to what's coming in 2008...

Time of Legends - Warhammer takes centre spotlight in the New Year with the launch of our Time of Legends series. Heldenhammer, the story of Sigmar and written by Horus Heresy supremo Graham McNeill, debuts and Nagash the Sorcerer is set to follow. These are epic tales and tell the stories of some of the Warhammer worlds greatest heroes, villains and events.

Space Marines – 2008 also sees the return of two fan favourites amongst the Astartes. After a lengthy hiatus, the Ultramarines are back. Expect to see Uriel Ventris and Pasanius in The Killing Ground our brand new Graham McNeill hardcover. The sons of Sanguinius get a recall to the grand Warhammer 40,00 stage too with The Blood Angels Omnibus and Red Fury, the start of a brand new duology by James Swallow.

Horus Heresy – Our focus switches to the stars and the red planet for in the Horus Heresy series. Battle for the Abyss, by Ben Counter, sees the first no holds barred space conflict in the Horus Heresy and acts as a precursor to a certain event to take place on Calth... With Mechanicum, by the ever prolific Graham McNeill, taking us to Mars and the cataclysmic civil war within the devotees of the Machine God there’s plenty to get excited about.

Imperial Guard - It's been a good year for the Hammer of the Emperor with the Imperial Guard series starting to gather some real momentum. Enthused by the fan response to the series, we'll be publishing an omnibus of the first three Imperial Guard novels: Fifteen Hours, Deathworld and Rebel Winter. Best of all, this omnibus will feature some brand new material penned by the authors.

Vampires – The lords of the Undead are everywhere in the New Year as Morrslieb waxes full. Vampire Wars: The Von Carstein Omnibus, collects together the epic trilogy by Steven Savile together with a brand new linking short story. Mr Savile isn't resting on his laurels as we’ve also got Curse of the Necrarch, a deadly new tale focused on these decrepit vampires. With Ancient Blood, by Robert Earl, delving into the secret world of the Strigoi you’ll be reaching for garlic and silver stakes before the year is out!
