well, i've built my fair share of truescale marines and i'll tell you this...one is fun, a whole army is a freaking endurance challenge!!! you can't just slap em together and be don't with it, they're a serious investment in time and sanity, and while they will look proper cool on the table it'll take an age to get them there. and what with grey knights having all those extra details and the like....

nids on the other hand are a lot simpler to construct even if you do convert them somehow, and can be table ready in a much shorter timespan while still looking very cool.

so i guess it's a question of how much time you can devote to the project.
