i'd have said that you'd been painting for years based on the quality of these! you're showing some fairly advanced techniques such as shading and highlighting, some awesome brush control, and as erus already mentioned your attention to detail is spot on. i shudder to think what you'll be like once steve gets through with you!
have you had any training as an artist by any chance? art skills usually transfer very well to mini painting.
