I wouldnt say ruined...A couple of coats of Matte Varnish would take care of that shine Nanolathe
. But I do suggest you thin down your inks a bit.
Instead of using inks, you could mix up a wash using your base red and heavily dilute it with water. You'll have to do mulitple coats to reach the desired effect, but you wont get the shine.
