the main problem with fighty warriors is that they really, really need support from another unit so that your opponent cannot surround and overwhelm your few synapse gribblies... sure they have 2 wounds each and can't be instant-killed by power fists or such - but those pointy death sticks, (aka force toys), and similar attacks which simply kill you outright will quickly munch through a unit!

rending claws are mandetory no matter your role for warriors as it's your only way to bypass armour saves...

for ranged warriors, i'd simply stick to the example "huntsman" species in the warrior entry! devourers in the hands of a warrior get 4 shots at 18" & have living ammo which means extra wounds... rending claws for giving you a bit more killiness, plus the adrenal glands (i) + enhanced senses & toxin sacs makes for a very efficient killer in any phase!
