A Poem for the Emperor Would that I could serve thee, my Lord.
I speak not of the divine or his son,
But rather of the one,
The Omnissiah,
The Highest of High Lords,
My Emperor.
An eternity you have sat, encased within your adamantine throne,
And, despite the best efforts of the Lord of Change,
Of those who would defile your magnificence,
Your will still stands, unbending, undying
After ten millenia.
And so all the universe knows,
Past the Hall of Heroes,
Past the Eternity Gate, demasked in golden conquest resplendent
Past your immense throne of gold,
Lies the will of Man, and a soul
Ten Thousand Years Old.
