I have seen so many perfectly good armies wiped out simply because people under-estimate the power of a lvl 4 Enchantress with the Lore of Beasts and the Bears Anger. She is more than capable of taking out an Empire captain or wiping out units of lightly armoured troops.
Also remember the Lance formation, it is your friend. It means you get rank bonus at 3 models per rank (BEARDY FRENCH MEN!!!!!). Also never try to charge High Elf spearmen front on as they get three ranks of attacks. Nor should you attempt to front charge Dwarf Ironbreakers with 2 ranks behind as they can take the charge (2+ save is ftw) then the tooled up thane hits back hard. Charge them in the behind where they lose the characters attacks and dont get a rank bonus.
One more tip, Pesants or yeomen w/e archers are VERY good. Amazingly cheap for such good shots and peppering units with them can be great at whittling them down before your knights charge home. |
