i agree with all of this. in my marine army i'm planning an inquisitor, and used an elite one instead of an inquisitor lord...saving 20 some points by switching from HQ to elites sounds like a good deal to me! actually you can make an inquisitor and his retinue pretty vicious, with the right stuff.

my personal favorite would be the firestorm...haha like 7 ap 2, high strength shots with rerolls for 1's on plasmaguns/cannon, etc.
