and there's still going to be some very hefty conversion work for my lamenters as i'll be needing to make lots of mk5 & mk6 studded areas like the shoulder pads and legs (for the mk5!)
so, while yes, it would be nice to have a sprue set for the earlier mk power armour suits, i personally feel it would be a real kick in the face to pretty much every dedicated modeler that's ever taken the time and effort to convert up a full army

Which is exactly why they should make a Pre-Heresy Sprue.
But if I may argue against my own post. I think that GW doesnt because it would be like going back in time. Its PRE-Heresy and right now all the fluff and the 40k Universe is Post-Heresy thus it wouldnt make sense for the Adeptus to go back in time? So thats my threory as to why they didnt make it out yet...
