Default 1ksons vs Dark Angles - rescue mission

hey all,

just got pics from my buddy for a game we played Sat at the store.

scenario:
rescue special mission from main 40k rule book (its not in the little mccragge book)

special rules - reserves

objective - 6 counters randomly placed over the board, we used chaos terminator models as i didnt use them in this force and we didnt have other counters. each one was placed with a small piece of paper under it by a nuetral 3rd party. then we rolled to see what # would be the goal. all others when checked if not the number rolled are discarded and you continue in your search.

points - 1850


set up/turn 1:
we played on a 3 x 6 table using the L set up (half way along each edge 6 in in). it was only troops choice per side able to be set up. my buddy was only able to deploy 2 terminator units due to using belial while i droped a 10man unit in 1 rhino, 6man in 2nd and 2 5man units foot slogging. no kills this turn.

i was able to get to 1 marker on turn 1 and alas it was not the one needed......

turn 2:
i was able to bring my defiler and bike squad on from reserves and i make it to another 2 markers. once again they weren't the one. meanwhile the da player was able to get 2 droppoding dreads and a land raider in play. now things got a bit messy as his dreads are armed with assault cannons and heavy flamers. lost a few guys but not too much.



turn 3:
got an obliterator, sorcerer on bike, sorcerer in termi armor and spawn (the dp model, forgot the real one at home...)in this turn. also reached another marker that wasn't the right one. took out one of the dreads and got locked in hth with the other. the da player contacted token 5 this turn and that wasn't it either which only left the marker up on top of the plateau. which also happened to be the furthest from my deployment zone and my army........ an ofcourse in my movement the stupid spawn had to go to the closest enemy which just happened to be a stupid droppod that it managed to reach between movement, fleet and chaging all on the same turn it came in.......



turn 4:
2nd oblit came in this turn which finished my reserves. managed to take out the lr crusader this turn with the sorcerer on bike!! but i lost one of my rhinos. 2 of his dreads were dead by end of turn but the 3rd one showed up tieing me up once more in the board center. the da termies on the plateau moved behind it with the marker (we put the paper between its legs for ease) gettting out of sight of my shooting and leaving me only belial to shoot at up top.



turn 5:
turn 5 i keept working on the dreads and turbo boosted my bikes and sorcerer on bike as close as i could to try to get into shooting range next turn and kill the terminators with the item atleast getting a draw as i couldnt get any troops close enough to take it. problem was unfortunately my bikes got with in charge range of belial by accident when trying to stay out of sight of the LR. lost 1 of the remaining 2 bikes but i stuck around to fight next turn.

turn 6:
at the end of my turn 6 i had elimiated the dread threats finally, however my bike squad had gotten tied up in hth with belial which didnt go well for me. the termies with the counter had come round in sight of my oblit to get away from the approaching sorcerer however the oblit failed to hit with his plasma cannon. sorcerer got in sight but wasnt able to take out any of the termies with wind of chaos. i think my buddy may have gotten the pics mixed up cus these last 2 are pretty much the same i think one is end of my phase on 6 and this one is end of game as i went first.
