Re: 5th edition rumors! Well, a few things get me as well as i imagine it will others-
First off, the always hit on the rear armor for tanks. So for example and sake of argument, a squad charging the front of a predator somehow manage to attack its flank? How is that justifiable? Unless of course tank shock and such still apply and passing allows the troops to swarm around it.
Secondly, Scattering blast weapons? That should only happen if they miss, and i'm sure we can agree on that much.
Rending i'm not worried about, but the limiting, crippling and min/maxing of Assault cannons for a Space marine army isn't such a good thing either. At least 5 or so units use them, and by making the model itself less useful and more expensive just because they have the ability to take an assault cannon is not right. Not even abusing it, but just have the option.
The line of sight is just a poor excuse for rules... Surely when you train the best warriors a race has to offer you can trust them to avoid friendly fire. But I guess GW has other ideas.
And still my biggest complaint, the nerfing of the armory i'm seeing in all latest codices. Why? It makes me mad that for some reason my assault marines cannot take meltabombs, my sergeant cannot quip a set of claws or a hammer, and my choices are rubbed in my face through dots. "MAY TAKE PLASMA PISTOL, MAY TAKE POWER FIST".
If an emperors children noise marine cannot take a plasma pistol, then why is there a picture of one wielding one in the new codex? *Blame GW*
I could not care if they nerfed the armies slightly, but taking away the flavor of customization is irrefutable!
Its like taking your 4 week old newborn baby, and then GW saying WE CAN MAKE IT BETTER! And your baby returns missing a leg and two fingers.
Great huh?
