I suppose it also depends on which part of Spain you go to- I've personally never visited mainland Spain, instead I went to Ibiza, Majorca, and Menorca where sea food is emphasised (hence Paella). I imagine Spanish food would be very much Mediterranean style (obviously) with some Spices but not terribly like Mexican...in the end we'll have to ask people who've actually been/live in mainland Spain.
